“Hat Tales” comes back to Century Village Museum! In coordination with our hat temporary exhibition in the Hickox Brick starting this fall, we are bringing back our popular program, “Hat Tales” to illustrate family history and life through a lively and entertaining program done by two Geauga residents.
Mrs. Lucinda Hopkins of Chardon, OH and Mrs. Helen Sudyk of Huntsburg, OH will present yesteryear stories about four special women of their family from 1818 to 1940 through period hats and dresses. The program is highly energetic and will make you laugh out loud at family traditions and incidents that we can all relate to!
Mrs. Lucinda Hopkins is a retired teacher from Mayfield City Schools and is now an Interpreter here at Century Village Museum.
Mrs. Helen Sudyk is Lucinda’s mother, and is the local historian of Huntsburg, as well as resident family historian.
This program will be presented in our historic Auburn Church on Century Village Museum grounds, Saturday, September 24th at 1:30pm. There is a $5 admission charge for this program.
